Gamers keen to get in on the social gaming action that is Home will be able to do so from today in both America and Europe.

The PlayStation store in America will be updated today with a PlayStation Home theme and anyone that downloads it will be automatically submitted for a chance to join the PlayStation Home US Beta test community.

Sony says it will use a variety of criteria to test eligibility for the Beta community, including activity of the PlayStation Network. Existing beta testers have automatically qualified to be part of the expanded beta.

European gamers needn't worry though, as SCEE is also beginning its expanded closed beta, and will be directly targetting users who have been most active on the PlayStation Network and PlayStation Store.

  • i am so sick of Europe getting every single thing last when it comes to gaming, its not on, we pay 400 odd pound for a ps3 (or whatever your currency may be) and what do we get, everything freaking last! Posted by tec_302, United Kingdom
  • Hey man, take it easy, I´m right next to the US, I live in Acapulco, however, this stuff is not precisely at the same time or even a couple of days later, I have had to wait about 10 days after release date for getting MGS4, an about 10 more days for Soul calibur, I think, all right, more time for saving money, since The force Unleashed is my next buy on september.... well, if keeps the same pattern, might be October, well, I wanted to say, you are not the only ones gettin´ everything late, and we are neighbors to the US (why the heck is that late anyhow...?)
    Greetings.
